Fascia Blasting
What is it? The process involves using a wand-shaped tool with plastic claws that deeply massage tissue to help with "Myofascial release"
How?
1) Heat up using any heat source, I like to use a small fan heater on myself at home however I use a heat lamp with your booking. Oil up, I like to use coconut oil. Then rub the fascia blaster back and forth or side to side (Never in a circle).
2) When starting on a new area, keep the pressure light and soft with short duration. See how your body responds, and then increase the length of time and pressure accordingly if that makes sense for your body. Don’t push through pain!
4) Always listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right, stop and ask questions. The Fascia Blaster process is not a one-size-fits-all program. This experience is to help you get in tune with your tissue, having your mind, body and spirit work in harmony.
How long does it take to see results? I liken the process to exercise, you don't get a six pack overnight, it takes time and consistency. A lot of factors contribute to cellulite including being sedentary, dehydration, diet and certain types of hard core exercise believe it or not. So if you are moving, eating well, staying hydrated and consistently blasting you will see results. Everyone is different with how long it takes, some start to see results within a few months. Myself it only took weeks. But within 12 months of blasting I had my body completely cellulite free. I blasted myself every other day or 4 to 5 times a week. The more you blast the quicker the results. I am now in maintenance mode and I only blast myself once a week.
What do I wear to my blasting session?: Underwear or a swimming costume, the same as what you would wear to a massage
Does it hurt?: It can be a bit tender in places at first especially if your fascia is not in the best state but the more you blast the more pressure you can use and the less tender you will be
Will I bruise?: Yes for your first few times it is highly likely you will bruise. These are not impact bruises.
My journey:
I have been Fascia Blasting for 7 years and always thought "I'd love to be able to go to some-one and have them give me a good blast every now and then" but there is no one that offers this service. Facia Blasting is quite common in American however it's not as popular in Australia yet and it's hard work, as i mentioned before I liken it to exercise it's not a quick overnight fix it takes a bit of elbow grease and commitment. So if you are ready to commit to the process, invest in a blaster, get into a routine of blasting yourself and move and hydrate in the process I am here to answer any questions and provide you with a personal blasting session in-between you blasting yourself.
Fascia Blasting is not just good for Cellulite, I have customers that do not have any cellulite, they just come for the benefits listed below and to just feel good:-
- improves circulation
- brings healing blood to the surface of the skin
- helps with muscle access when training
- aids in muscle recovery after exercise
- loosens tight fascia
- aids in lymphatic drainage
- Helps fight the aging process
- weight loss
- inflammation
